Genaside II - Narra Mine - The Lyrics!

Narra Mine is an old skool classic second to none. Came out in 1991 and still drops as big now as it did then. The first half has lyrics from Sharon Williams, musing on the narrow minded judgemental people out there - then after a bass breadkdown in comes Killer Man Archer with what might be the maddest, fiercest ragga attack ever laid down on record.

The topic came up on discussion board u75 and Roll Da Beats as to what the lyrics were, and after getting the track opened up in the lab, with a little help from Haste and CubeX, I think I've managed to get the lyrics down. It wasn't easy - give the track a blind listen and see how far you get. Here's a video of it, with lyrics below. Archers chat starts at 4.30.

Bound to be a couple of mistakes in there - please add your corrections in the comments. If anyone knows the legendary Archer please get him to come and confirm, and shed some further light. A future karaoke classic! Lord a hey!

people why don't you come and hear
people why don't you come and hear
people why don't you come and hear
come and hear
come and hear
come and hear
come and hear

people realise
that the judges are eternal liars
look at the concrete man
empty heads are feeling proud
feeling proud
feeling proud

everyday the narrow minds
they see what they wanna see
everyday the narrow minds
they feel what they wanna feel
what they feel
what they feel

think about the times we've wasted
now we're in reverse
going back to what has been
and the judge he still hasn't learned
hasn't learned
hasn't learned
hasn't learned

Hey...hey...lord a hey!

Follow me, follow me, follow me, follow me...mi bawl

Mad midda mad midda mad midda mad midda me turn mad up

Amazing to hear the lyrics after all these years!!!

re 2nd verse, sounds to me like:

"people realise / the judges all are telling lies / look at the country now / empty heads are feeling proud"

also pretty sure it's "educate the narrow minds" rather than "every day the narrow minds"

I'll defer to your judgement on puzzling out Killerman Archer...
